Yesterday, our student council had some April Fool's Day fun with Dr. Thompson. Notorious for their delicious baked goods at their early morning meetings, students decided to give him a tray of “brown E’s” … cleverly disguised in a baking dish. But don’t worry, they gave him a real muffin to enjoy as well!

“Meet The Instruments Night” and parent meeting will be held Tuesday April 21st from 6-7:00pm at Strayer Middle School. This event is for any student who might like to learn a musical instrument next year in the band and orchestra program! (Current band and orchestra students do not need to attend this event unless you are considering learning a new instrument.)

At "Meet the Instruments Night" your child will get to try out their top 3 instrument choices before you enroll in the program and get an instrument for them. Parents will also learn more about the QCSD band and orchestra program, get to meet the teachers, learn about instrument rentals, and ask any questions.

You must pre-register for this event, so we will know our anticipated attendance and can provide the correct amount of supplies (mouthpieces, reeds, etc.).

Please click the link below to register:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfp6cv8KWKc_RzqztqbtccME9wXF0wfzLUHlRczFxORMjmIcw/viewform

*Registering for “Meet The Instruments Night” does not enroll your child in the program. It simply allows the students an opportunity to try out the instruments before you rent, purchase, or borrow an instrument.

If you have questions, please contact your school’s music teacher. Visit qcsd.org/music and click the CONTACT page to find their contact information.

There’s an instrument for everyone, we just need to find the right fit for your child!

The students and families of Pfaff Elementary have gone above and beyond to help fight childhood hunger. Over the past month, they collected cereal boxes to donate to the Bean Bag Food Program.

The goal was 100 boxes…

Our Pfaff community exceeded expectations! Thank you for your generosity and support of others—what an incredible sight in the lobby.

Every student and family should feel extremely Pfaff Proud!

Happy Read Across America Week, Pfaff Elementary!

Today, we want to thank third-grader Isaac for sharing his book recommendation, “The Percy Jackson Series,” by Rick Riordan.
Isaac wanted to recommend the entire Percy Jackson series because “It is so GOOD!! Super entertaining, and really fun to read!” When asked what his favorite part in the series was, Isaac shared, “When he jumps off a bridge and learns he can breathe underwater.”

Thank you, Isaac, for this wonderful recommendation and for helping us celebrate Read Across America Week!
