Student Council creates motivational cards for students for the PSSA Assessment

Last week, we had the privilege of visiting Pfaff Elementary’s Student Council. Students met before school hours, and enjoyed breakfast muffins while they reviewed past projects.

During the meeting, students reflected on their recent, “100 Box Challenge,” where students collected more than 250 large boxes of cereal for donation. Fourth grade members were thanked for helping to load and deliver the boxes quickly for donation.

Students also shared their involvement in supporting the PTO Coin Challenge, giving their time during lunch and recess hours to assist the PTO with this initiative. The PTO was grateful for their help, and strong commitment to service.

The council concluded their review of donations by mentioning their most recent donation drive for Last Chance Ranch. With the arrival of spring – the animal shelter is grateful for their contributions.

Following their service updates, the council shifted focus onto their current initiative: PSSA Motivation. Students were excited to create motivational cards for third, fourth and fifth graders to help boost confidence and positivity ahead of the PSSA assessments.

Messages were both creative, encouraging and including sentiments like:

“You can do this!”

“Donut give up!”

“You will ace this!”
