Pfaff Post

Hello Pfaff families,

I hope you are having a great weekend. Thank you to all of the parents/guardians who attended Pfaff's Back-to-School Night event on Thursday evening. The faculty and I appreciated the opportunity to meet many of you and share some of the exciting ways we will be supporting your students this year. If you were unable to attend, your students' teachers will send information they shared during the event. For all families, whether you attended or not, I want to share information about two important ways we support Pfaff students-our PBIS program "Pfaff Proud" and our district's MTSS processes.

"Pfaff Proud" is the school-wide positive behavior support program at Pfaff Elementary School. It exists to support pro-social behaviors, social-emotional wellness, and academic learning and growth. The idea is that ALL students and staff will be "proud" of themselves, one another, and their school by demonstrating behaviors aligned with the program's four tenets: Respectfulness, Responsibility, Resiliency, and Safety. Click here for a brief PBIS overview video and our end-of-year newsletter from 2024-2025.

MTSS stands for multi-tiered systems of support and it is a framework QCSD (and many other districts) use to provide students with the appropriate academic, behavioral, or social-emotional instruction and supports. Click here for a brief MTSS overview video and more detailed slides.

Thank you for reading!

Have a great week,

Eric Thompson, Principal
